Under this rule, UIDAI has given the facility to residents that they can update their address in Aadhaar card online with the consent of the head of their family. In a statement issued by UIDAI, it was said that the address can be updated online by submitting any document showing the relationship with the head of the family.

On behalf of UIDAI, it was said that if a person does not have any such document, then he can also submit the self-declaration given in the prescribed format by the head of the family.
