Among these schemes of the government, PM Kisan Yojana, Kisan Credit Card and PM Kisan Maandhan Schemes are prominent. Apart from all this, there is another government scheme which gives the benefit of the farmers to deposit their money and bumper interest on that deposit. The benefit of this sarkari scheme can be taken through the post office.

Kisan Vikas Patra Scheme

Keeping in mind the farmers, a scheme named Kisan Vikas Patra has been brought by the post office. Under this scheme, the farmers of the country can deposit their savings and get bumper interest on it. 

Kisan Vikas Patra is one of the nine small savings schemes offered by the post office. The most important thing about this scheme is that your money will double after a time on investing in it.

How much can deposit

It is clear from the name of this scheme of Indian Post that it has been started for special farmers. But still any person can open his account in this. Investment in this scheme is done by purchasing the certificate. 

The minimum investment amount is Rs 1,000, while for investment above Rs 50,000, you will have to provide your PAN.

How much is the interest

If you invest your money under this scheme, then an interest of 6.9 percent will be given by the post office on your deposit. This interest is given on a compounding basis annually. In this scheme, your deposit amount doubles within 10 years 4 months.

Who can open account

In the Kisan Vikas Patra Scheme of the Post Office, any person whose age is more than 18 years can open his account. Under the scheme, the account of a minor can be opened on behalf of his guardian.
